Second Arrest Made in 2024 Wallace Road Fatal Shooting in Macon

Twenty-year-old Davian Nayshuan Forney of Macon has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Dontavious Ryshaun Holsey, which occurred on September 30, 2024, on Wallace Road.  

Forney was apprehended in Milledgeville, Georgia, on April 22, 2025, by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce, with assistance from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, following a Crime Stoppers tip. He was taken into custody without incident and extradited to Bibb County.  

Forney has been charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault and is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond.

This marks the second arrest in the case. In November 2024, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested 18-year-old Devin DeLoach in Jones County and charged him with Murder in connection with Holsey’s death.  

The shooting on September 30, 2024, resulted in the death of Dontavious Ryshaun Holsey and injured a 17-year-old male. Investigators are continuing to work on the case and urge anyone with information to contact the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers.
