Thomas County Woman Sentenced to Life for Poisoning Husband with Antifreeze

Torii Fedrick has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after being found guilty in the 2021 poisoning death of her husband, Phil Fedrick.
A joint investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office determined that Torii Fedrick provided her husband with ethylene glycol, a toxic substance commonly found in antifreeze and brake fluid. Phil Fedrick was taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital, where emergency room staff suspected poisoning. Approximately one week later, he died. Testing later confirmed the poisoning, and an autopsy conducted by the GBI determined it was the cause of death.
Following a two-year investigation, Fedrick was charged and stood trial in a four-day proceeding. On March 27, 2025, a jury returned a guilty verdict, and Judge Gregory Voyles sentenced her to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office extended its gratitude to the GBI, District Attorney Brad Shealy, and the jury for their roles in securing the conviction.
