Two Arrested After High-Speed Chase, Contraband Thrown Onto Washington State Prison Grounds

A high-speed chase ended in a crash and foot pursuit early Friday morning after a deputy attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle near Washington State Prison.
At approximately 3:45 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, a Davisboro deputy spotted a vehicle parked in front of the prison and observed multiple traffic violations. When the deputy activated his emergency lights to initiate a stop, the vehicle sped away, and a passenger threw a plastic bag onto the prison grounds.
The pursuit continued onto Highway 231, where the fleeing vehicle crashed near Heards Bridge Road.
