Operation One Star Leads to 53 Arrests and Large Drug Seizure in Gwinnett County

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office recently conducted Operation One Star, a large-scale crime suppression effort targeting violent crime and gang activity.
During the operation, law enforcement officials arrested 53 individuals, including five validated or suspected gang members. Authorities also seized 13 firearms and confiscated:
- Nine kilograms of fentanyl
- 193 grams of cocaine
- 12 kilograms of methamphetamine
- 561 grams of marijuana
- 148.5 grams of prescription pills
- 2,000 grams of liquid narcotics
- $47,333 in U.S. currency
Those arrested face various charges, including trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, along with multiple felony and weapons violations.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office worked with several agencies on this operation, including the Gwinnett Metro Task Force (GMTF), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Group 3, Gwinnett County 911 Communications, and police departments from Auburn, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, and Norcross.
