Jasper Man Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children

James Arthur Puddick, 29, of Jasper, Pickens County, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with Sexual Exploitation of Children by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
The GBI CEACC Unit initiated an investigation into Puddick’s online activity in January 2025, following a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the potential possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation led to Puddick’s arrest on March 13, 2025. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, the GBI’s Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, the GBI’s Special Operations Unit, and Homeland Security Investigations assisted with the investigation and arrest.
Puddick is being charged with 4 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Minors and 2 counts of Possession of Child Porn.
