Dawson Shoemake Bragg, 25, of Rome, Floyd County, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with Sexual Exploitation of Children by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

The GBI CEACC Unit began investigating Bragg’s online activity in January 2025 after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning the potential possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation resulted in Bragg’s arrest. The Floyd County Police Department, the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, and the GBI regional investigative office in Calhoun assisted in the investigation and arrest.

Bragg was booked into the Floyd County Jail.
