One Dead, One Injured in Downtown Atlanta Shooting
A shooting in downtown Atlanta on February 28, 2025, left one man dead and another injured, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
At approximately 9:34 p.m., Zone 5 officers responded to reports of a person shot near Kimball Way SE and Decatur St. SE. Upon arrival, officers learned that a gunshot victim had already arrived at Grady Hospital, where they located the individual in stable condition.
While canvassing the area near 50 Lower Alabama St., officers discovered a 23-year-old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The Atlanta Police Homicide Unit has launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The case remains under investigation.
