Gilmer County Drug Bust: Two Arrested, Drugs, Guns, and Cash Seized

A drug bust in western Gilmer County led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of firearms, narcotics, and cash.
On February 17, 2025, Gilmer County deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Simmons Road, where they arrested Alex Ledesma and Sarah Anne Aranda. During the search, deputies discovered 24 grams of cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, approximately $1,400 in cash, and around nine pounds of marijuana. Authorities also confiscated 14 firearms, as Ledesma is a convicted felon.

Ledesma faces multiple charges, including 14 counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, and multiple drug-related offenses under the Georgia Controlled Substances Act.
Aranda is charged with Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime and multiple counts of drug possession.
Both remain in custody at the Gilmer County Jail, with the possibility of additional charges pending.
