Man Dies After Entering Water at Oconee River Greenway
Milledgeville Police responded to the Oconee River Greenway on Saturday, February 15, 2025, after receiving reports of a man who walked down the boat ramp into the water and did not resurface.
Officers and deputies arrived at approximately 11:19 a.m. and observed the man submerged. A deputy pulled him from the water, and CPR was immediately administered. Navicent Health EMS transported him to Navicent Health Baldwin, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The incident remains under investigation.
