Gwinnett County Meth Bust Yields 23 Kilograms, Six Arrested

A joint drug operation conducted by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Section, the Gwinnett Metro Task Force (GMTF), and the FBI Atlanta led to the seizure of 23 kilograms of methamphetamine and the arrest of six individuals on February 12, 2025.

The first operation took place in Lilburn, where investigators seized seven kilograms of methamphetamine. Information obtained during the investigation led law enforcement to execute a search warrant at a residence in Norcross, where an additional 16 kilograms of methamphetamine and over $6,000 in cash were confiscated.

The following individuals were arrested and charged:

  • Anne Parada-Garcia, aged 22 – Willful Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer
  • Yherlynson Alejandro Rivera Depablos – Willful Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer
  • Julio Sasa – Willful Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer
  • Roberto Hernandez Pineda – Two Counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine (More than 400 grams)
  • Jose Angel Hernandez Navarro – Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession and Use of Drug-Related Objects

All suspects remain in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail.
