Acworth Man Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges Following Cross-State Investigation

On February 11, 2025, Acworth Police Officers arrested 19-year-old Brandon Boyer on charges of Obscene Telephone Communications with a Minor, Furnishing Obscene Materials to a Minor, and Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

The investigation began with information received from authorities in North Carolina regarding alleged misconduct by Boyer involving a 13-year-old resident of that state.

The Acworth Police Department conducted its own investigation, which revealed that offenses had also occurred within their jurisdiction.

Boyer was arrested without incident following the execution of a warrant. He was subsequently turned over to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.
