A routine traffic stop on Peachtree Road led to the arrest of Tory Hardesty after Atlanta Police officers discovered a large quantity of illegal drugs and cash inside his vehicle.

Traffic Stop Escalates to Struggle

On February 7, 2025, at approximately 5:15 PM, officers pulled over a white transport van and identified themselves to the driver. During the stop, officers detected the strong odor of raw marijuana and questioned the driver, who handed over a small ziplocked bag of marijuana and claimed he had no more.

With probable cause established, officers attempted to detain Hardesty to continue their search. He initially exited the vehicle but then became physically combative, ignoring repeated verbal commands. After a brief struggle, officers used a Taser to subdue and take him into custody.

Drugs and Cash Seized

Upon searching the van, officers found:
🔹 5 “bricks” of suspected cocaine (12.5 lbs)
🔹 35 vacuum-sealed bundles of marijuana (35 lbs)
🔹 22 bags of methamphetamine (114 lbs total)
🔹 $73,500 in cash

Charges and Detainment

Hardesty was transported to the Fulton County Jail and is now facing multiple felony drug trafficking charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana.
