Gwinnett Police Investigate Deadly Shooting Between Roommates in Buford

The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found shot to death inside a home on Roxholly Lane early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a 911 call from a residence in the 800 block of Roxholly Lane in Buford just after 1:30 a.m. on January 30. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who had been shot at least once. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses inside the home at the time of the shooting spoke with officers, and one male was detained for questioning. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are working to collect evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, which appears to be domestic-related.

The victim’s name is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
