Traffic Stop on Emery Highway Leads to Drug Arrests After K-9 Alert

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (S.R.T.) Unit deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Buick LaCrosse with South Carolina license plates off Emery Highway.

During the stop, the female driver was seen eating a hot pocket as the deputy approached her window. When asked to provide her driver’s license, she informed the deputy she did not have it.

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit was brought in to inspect the vehicle. The K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, prompting a search of the vehicle. Deputies discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the Buick.
