Three Injured in Active Shooter Incident in Camden County
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office responded to an active shooter incident on January 8, 2025, at 4:21 p.m. near the intersection of Kinlaw Road and Harrietts Bluff Road.
Three individuals were injured in the shooting and sustained gunshot wounds. They have been transported to a local medical facility for emergency treatment. At this time, their conditions are not available.
Law enforcement has secured the scene, and authorities have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation into the incident is currently being handled by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), with the Camden County Sheriff’s Office turning over the case for further inquiry.
“We understand the concern this incident has caused in our community,” said Camden County Sheriff Kevin Chaney. “Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
The Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to avoid the area to allow first responders and investigators to work effectively. The GBI will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
