Atlanta Man Tasered Then Shot During Struggle with Roswell Officer
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an investigation into an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Roswell, GA, on January 8, 2025. The incident left 33-year-old Christopher Bell of Atlanta injured, though no officers were hurt.
Just after midnight, a Roswell Police officer spotted Bell near Regal Nissan on Holcomb Bridge Road, yelling with his car parked at the entrance and the engine running. The officer approached, and a struggle ensued when Bell approached the patrol car. The officer deployed a Taser, but it was ineffective, leading to the officer firing his weapon. Bell was provided medical aid by responding officers and transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The GBI will conduct an independent investigation, with the case set to be reviewed by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office once complete.
