Three Homes Damaged in Grayson Fire on Christmas Eve
At approximately 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Gwinnett County firefighters responded to a house fire reported on the 900 block of Swan Ridge Circle in Grayson. The initial 911 callers reported flames spreading from the roof of a single-family home to neighboring houses.
Upon arrival, fire crews found one home fully engulfed in flames, with fire spreading to two adjacent residences. Firefighters used multiple handlines and a ladder truck to combat the fire, successfully extinguishing the flames on the primary structure and neighboring homes. Searches of the affected homes confirmed no occupants were inside.
The main structure was deemed a total loss, with moderate roof damage to one neighboring home and exterior wall and attic damage to the other. A fourth structure sustained heat damage to its siding. Georgia Power was called to secure power to all three impacted homes.
