Gwinnett County Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Assault on Woman During Morning Walk
NORCROSS, Ga. – Gwinnett County police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of assaulting a woman while she was out for a morning walk earlier this month.
The assault occurred on July 1 near the intersection of Old Norcross Tucker Road and Glenbrook Drive.
According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the victim told officers she was walking in the area at approximately 7:05 a.m. when an unknown Hispanic man approached her from behind, assaulted her and then fled on foot toward Britt Road.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s with a slim build. He is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and has short black hair with faded sides and a curly top.
Investigators released composite sketches created by Georgia Bureau of Investigation forensic artist Kelly Lawson based on the victim’s description.
Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the individual depicted in the sketches or has information about his identity to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department.
