15-Year-Old Shot and Killed in Columbus; Police Investigating
On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at approximately 8:20 a.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Celia Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 15-year-old Elijah Hatcher suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported Hatcher to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead by an ER doctor at 9:15 a.m.
