Two More Arrested in Elbert County Homicide of 15-Year-Old at Homecoming Afterparty
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has made additional arrests in connection with the homicide of 15-year-old Bryshun Treviyus O’Brien Jordan at a homecoming afterparty in Elbert County. Demarion Jamal Raiford, 18, of Jackson County, and Zorion Tymal Sims, 19, of Oglethorpe County, have been charged with Murder, four counts of Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, and Violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
The GBI executed search warrants in Jackson and Oglethorpe counties on Monday, November 18, 2024, resulting in the arrests of both suspects. Raiford was taken into custody in Jefferson, while Sims was arrested in Carlton. They are now awaiting extradition to Elbert County.
This brings the total arrested to eight individuals.
The investigation remains active, with continued efforts from the GBI, local law enforcement, and the GBI Metro Gang Task Force.
