Augusta Man Wanted for Murder in July 2024 Shooting Death of Teen Has Been Captured

On Monday, September 16, 2024, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeastern United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Marvin Hall, a 20-year-old Black male from Augusta, GA, at a residence on Bungalow Road. Hall faces charges of Malice Murder, Felony Murder, and Possession of a Firearm or Knife During the Commission of a Crime.

The arrest follows a shooting incident on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at approximately 12:46 a.m. Richmond County deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the 2400 block of Acapulco Drive, Augusta. Upon arrival, deputies found an unidentified male who had been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to Wellstar MCG and was pronounced dead.

In July 2024, the victim was identified as 19-year-old Elijah Oliver. According to arrest warrants, Oliver was caught in the crossfire during the shooting.
