Suspect Charged with Murder in Columbus Shooting on Holly Avenue

On Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 7:43 p.m., Columbus Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 4600 block of Holly Avenue. Upon arrival, Patrol officers found a Hispanic male who had been shot. The victim was pronounced deceased at 8:15 p.m. by Coroner Buddy Bryan.

The Violent Crimes Unit was called to lead the investigation. Preliminary findings identified Emilio Manrique-Camoran as the suspect. He has been arrested and charged with:

  • Murder
  • Possession of VGCSA Schedule II Drug (Methamphetamine)
