Disorderly Driver Tased and Arrested at Broadway and Mead Road in Macon

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit deputy took a disorderly and argumentative driver into custody during a traffic stop at the intersection of Broadway and Mead Road. According to a report, the driver of a Toyota Camry, who did not have insurance on the vehicle, was initially issued a citation and released.

The situation escalated when the driver became argumentative with the deputy and repeatedly attempted to disrupt an inventory search of the Toyota during the impound process. Despite numerous warnings, the driver continued to interfere. The deputy tased the individual after they resisted arrest and attempted to flee.

During the incident, deputies also located a small amount of narcotics at the scene. The driver was taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
