Third Suspect Arrested in Murder of Augusta Man Gunned Down November 2023

On May 16, 2024, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the United States Marshal’s Southeast Fugitive Task Force, apprehended 19-year-old Cameron Levert Williams on a Grand Jury Arrest Warrant relating to the murder of Myron Garnett.

Garnett, aged 32, was shot dead on Verdery Street at Oak Street on November 16, 2023.

Williams is the third individual to be arrested in connection with Garnett’s murder. Previously, in November, Anthony Williams (20) and Shakeichia Jackson (30) were apprehended and charged with murder.
