Serial Robber and Carjacker Captured by East Point Police

The East Point Police Department has announced the capture of a serial robber and carjacker who frequented the area of Virginia Ave. and Harrison Rd. The suspect had previously been arrested by East Point Detectives for armed robbery at the Family Dollar and Arby’s restaurant last year, but was released on bond for those crimes.

On May 15, 2024, at 7:30 am, the same suspect allegedly carjacked two males while they were pumping gas on Virginia Ave. One of the victims was shot in the chest during the incident and survived but was left paralyzed. Witnesses and evidence support the crime.

East Point detectives are collaborating with the prison board and the Fulton County District Attorney’s office to ensure the suspect remains behind bars. Currently on parole, he has five years left to serve.
