Shots Fired Incident at Augusta Mall Under Investigation

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired at Dillard’s in Augusta Mall, located at 3450 Wrightsboro Road, on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 1:43 pm. Deputies arrived on the scene to find that the suspect had fled and the victim had already left before their arrival.

Subsequently, it was discovered that the victim had been taken to the hospital for treatment in a private vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are currently seeking information related to the incident.

UPDATE: 24-year-old Tybrea Nelson has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
