Law enforcement agencies across the US annually hold torch runs to support Special Olympics. The Special Olympics of Georgia Law Enforcement Torch Run organized its inaugural unified run covering 414 miles from Fort Oglethorpe to Jekyll Island, spanning April 14 to April 18.

Participants ran continuously in 3-mile segments, including 21 miles through Gwinnett County on April 15.
