Duluth Police Apprehend Assault Suspect, Community Collaboration Key
The Duluth Police Department has successfully apprehended the suspect involved in two separate assaults that occurred last week, on Tuesday, March 12. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the community, news media, and law enforcement, the individual responsible has been swiftly identified and taken into custody.
On Friday, March 15, following credible tips from the public, the Duluth Police Department activated its Special Response Team (SRT) to arrest the suspect, 37-year-old Warren Crayton. Mr. Crayton was apprehended without incident outside his residence. He is currently facing several charges, including Aggravated Assault, with additional charges expected as the investigation progresses.
Chief Jacquelyn Carruth expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are incredibly thankful to our community members for their cooperation and assistance in providing credible tips that led to the identification and apprehension of the suspect. This collaboration highlights the strength of our community partnerships and reinforces our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.”
