Second Suspect Charged in December Home Invasion Case in Lawrenceville
Luis Soto and Yenson Cedeno-Acevedo

A second suspect has been charged in connection with a home invasion that occurred on December 6, 2023. Detectives charged Yenson Adrian Cedeno Acevedo, 29, of Lawrenceville, with Home Invasion. Acevedo was already in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail on an unrelated charge.

The original incident involved multiple charges against Luis Soto, who was arrested earlier. Soto was charged with Home Invasion, two counts of Kidnapping, two counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of False Imprisonment, two counts of Armed Robbery, and one count of Impersonating a Public Official.

The home invasion took place at 1400 Herrington Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville. According to reports, three suspects dressed in tactical gear and armed with guns accosted the victim and his son as they returned home. The suspects forcibly entered the apartment, restrained the victims with zip ties, and demanded drugs and money. Claiming to be federal agents conducting surveillance for months, the suspects stole approximately $3,000 worth of sneakers and jewelry before fleeing. The victims managed to free themselves and alerted authorities.

Following investigative efforts, detectives identified Luis Soto as one of the suspects. He was apprehended on January 25 during a felony traffic stop, where tactical gear, ammunition, police badges, and items belonging to the victim were found. The search for the other two individuals involved in the home invasion is ongoing.

Yenson Adrian Cedeno Acevedo now faces charges related to the incident and remains in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail.
