Fayette County SWAT Assists in Capture of Violent Fugitive from Illinois

On April 19, 2024, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team joined forces with the United States Marshals Southwest Regional Task Force to arrest a fugitive wanted from Will County, Illinois.

Dylan Debolt, 19, of Plainfield, IL, was sought after a gun battle on April 2, 2024, in Will County.

Following the incident, Debolt fled to Fayette County, GA. He faces serious charges including aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and reckless discharge of a firearm. T

hanks to the collaborative efforts of law enforcement, Debolt has been captured and is held in Fayette County jail awaiting extradition to Illinois. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office commends the teamwork of all involved agencies in capturing this dangerous fugitive.
