Two Armed Suspects Rob Macon Smoke Shop, Assault Clerk Before Fleeing on Foot

MACON, Ga. – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two armed suspects accused of robbing a Riverside Parkway smoke shop and assaulting an employee.

Deputies are investigating the commercial armed robbery, which occurred at approximately 12:38 a.m. at Baba-G Smoke, located at 116 Riverside Parkway.

According to the sheriff’s office, a male suspect entered the business armed with a firearm and confronted the store clerk. The suspect allegedly pointed the weapon at the employee and demanded money from the cash register.

During the robbery, the clerk was struck by the suspect.

A second armed man then entered the smoke shop, authorities said. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the business before also stealing merchandise.

At some point during the robbery, the clerk was able to escape from the store. The two suspects subsequently fled the business on foot.

Paramedics responded and treated the clerk for non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local medical facility for additional treatment.

Surveillance Images Capture Suspects

Investigators released surveillance photographs from the business in hopes that someone will recognize the two men.

Both suspects were described as Black males.

One was wearing a cap, red face covering, black short-sleeve T-shirt, black pants and sneakers. The second was wearing a black long-sleeve T-shirt, black face mask, black pants and sneakers.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has not announced any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
