17-Year-Old Arrested in Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault of Teen on Macon Road
MACON, Ga. — A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery and aggravated assault in northeastern Macon after a group of juveniles allegedly robbed another teenager at gunpoint and abandoned him along the side of a road.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Kevin Amin Murphy, 17, who was arrested October 16, 2026.
Murphy faces charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.
The incident occurred along Knightbridge Road in northeastern Macon, according to investigators with the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division.
Teenagers Allegedly Rob Victim at Gunpoint
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, several juveniles initially drove to the victim’s residence.
The group then left the residence together, reportedly intending to meet a friend.
During the trip, the teenagers stopped along Knightbridge Road.
Investigators said the victim was robbed at gunpoint and left on the side of the road.
Authorities have not disclosed what property was taken or whether the victim suffered physical injuries during the encounter.
The sheriff’s office also has not specified how many juveniles were involved or whether the victim knew the alleged attackers before the incident.
Victim Walks to Nearby Fire Station for Help
After being abandoned along Knightbridge Road, the victim walked to a nearby fire station to seek assistance.
The sheriff’s office did not identify the fire station or provide details about the assistance the victim received.
Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division subsequently investigated the robbery and aggravated assault.
The investigation led detectives to identify Murphy as a suspect.
Kevin Amin Murphy Arrested on Three Felony Charges
Murphy was arrested Friday, October 16, in connection with the incident.
According to the sheriff’s office, he faces the following charges:
- Armed Robbery
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm or Knife During the Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies
The investigation is ongoing.
