48-Year-Old Fairmount Man Arrested Nude After Family Member Intervenes in Assault

FAIRMOUNT, Ga. — A 48-year-old Fairmount man faces multiple severe felony charges after law enforcement officers arrested him nude inside a residence following an intervention by a family member during an ongoing assault, authorities announced.

48-year-old Torie Nujuan McClain was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon, August 8, 2026, by Gordon County deputy sheriffs and officers with the Fairmount Police Department. Emergency responders were dispatched to a private home on Scott Brown Road in Fairmount following a 911 report of an assault in progress.

Family Member Intervenes During Active Assault

Upon entering the residence, deputies located McClain, who was nude at the time of his arrest, and took him into custody.

Deputies reported that McClain sustained injuries during the incident when a family member stepped in to halt the assault. McClain was transported to a local medical facility for treatment of his injuries. Responding deputies also summoned emergency medical aid to assist the victim at the scene.

Evidence Collection and Charges

Detectives executed a search warrant at the Scott Brown Road residence to collect physical evidence and interviewed witnesses who were present during the event.

McClain faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Sexual Battery, Aggravated Sodomy, and False Imprisonment.
