Glynn County Police Investigating Death After Body Found Near Spur 25

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — The Glynn County Police Department is investigating after a deceased individual was discovered in a wooded area near Spur 25 and Chapel Crossing.

According to police, patrol officers responded to the area on July 2 after receiving a report of a body.

When officers arrived, they located a deceased individual in the wooded area.

Detectives and Crime Scene personnel with the Criminal Investigations Division responded to process the scene and conduct a detailed examination.

Investigators remained at the location for an extended period collecting evidence and have interviewed several individuals who may have information relevant to the case.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation, and detectives are continuing to pursue all available leads.

The body has been turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner’s Office, which will determine the cause and manner of death.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased or indicated whether foul play is suspected.
