Three Arrested in Athens Gang and Drug Investigation; Seven Firearms Seized

ATHENS, Ga. — Three Athens men were arrested following a gang and narcotics investigation that resulted in the seizure of firearms, marijuana, and cash, according to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.

On June 26, 2026, the Athens-Clarke County Police Gang Unit, with assistance from the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force, the department’s Strategic Response Team, and the K-9 Unit, executed search warrants at residences in the 200 block of Rocksprings Court and the 100 block of Madison Avenue.

During the operation, investigators seized seven firearms, approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana, and $17,339 in U.S. currency.

Police arrested Jaylen Brown, 22, Tedero Phillips, 21, and Doukyius Clark, 19, all of Athens.

Each was charged with:

  • Violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act
  • Possession of Firearms During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute in Public Housing

The investigation remains ongoing.
