GBI Charges Swainsboro Man With Manslaughter in Fatal Tattnall County Crash

TATTNALL COUNTY, Ga. — A 25-year-old Swainsboro man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter following a fatal crash that left one woman dead and two others injured in Reidsville, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Jordan Austin Young was arrested in connection with the death of Kimberly King, 46, of Reidsville. Authorities said the incident occurred Saturday, April 25, at about 8:18 p.m. on a river access road near Magnolia Road.

Deputies with the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found King had been struck by a truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said a second woman and a 3-year-old child were also injured in the incident. The woman was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, while the child was treated and later released.

King’s body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab in Pooler for an autopsy.

The investigation remains ongoing, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol. Authorities said additional charges are likely.
