Man Found Guilty in Walton County Domestic Violence Case, Sentenced to 10 Years

MONROE, Ga. — A Walton County jury on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, found 49-year-old Jason Allen Wall guilty of false imprisonment, family violence simple battery, and theft by taking in connection with a domestic violence incident that occurred in August 2024.

The incident took place at a residence just outside the Social Circle city limits. According to prosecutors, Wall took the victim’s cell phone, grabbed her by the wrists, and forced her into a bedroom, where he refused to let her leave despite multiple attempts to escape.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and conducted the investigation, which led to Wall’s arrest.

Following the guilty verdict, the court sentenced Wall to 10 years. The sentence includes one year in prison, which will be suspended upon his completion of 60 days in the Walton County Jail. As part of the sentence, Wall is prohibited from having any contact with the victim and is required to complete a Domestic Violence Intervention Program.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ayman Tartir, with support from victim advocates Kathy Smith and Leighanna Waddell, Deputy Chief Investigator Eric Yarbrough, and Legal Assistant Lucy Repp.
