Cobb County Deputies Arrest Convicted Felon, Seize Drugs, Guns in Search Warrant
COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A convicted felon has been arrested after investigators seized a significant quantity of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash during a search warrant operation, according to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest was carried out by the Marietta/Cobb/Smyrna Narcotics & Intelligence Unit following an investigation that began with an anonymous community tip.
During the search, deputies recovered approximately 13 grams of suspected MDMA, about 127 grams of marijuana along with smaller additional amounts, and quantities of both powdered and crack cocaine. In total, authorities said the seizure amounted to well over a quarter-pound of illegal drugs.
Investigators also recovered two handguns and $783 in cash from the residence.
According to officials, narcotics were found in multiple locations throughout the home. Deputies said additional cocaine was also recovered after the suspect attempted to conceal it following being taken into custody.
Authorities emphasized the importance of community involvement in identifying illegal activity, noting the case originated from a tip submitted by a resident.
