KINGSLAND, Ga. — A Kingsland man is facing multiple charges after admitting to two robberies by intimidation, according to police.

On March 31, 2026, the Kingsland Police Department assisted the Camden County Sheriff’s Office during a traffic stop involving a vehicle connected to a robbery reported the previous day.

The driver was identified as Shawn Keaton of Kingsland. He was initially arrested on drug-related charges and taken to the Kingsland Police Department for further investigation.

During an interview conducted by Investigator Sgt. M. Parker and Chief Rick M. Evans, Keaton admitted to committing two robberies within the city.

The first robbery occurred on March 15 at approximately 7:56 p.m. at a Dollar General on Laurel Island Parkway. The second took place on March 30 at approximately 7:39 p.m. at Aden’s Convenience Store on West King Avenue.

Following the interview, Keaton was charged with two counts of robbery by intimidation and transported to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

“This case reflects what can be accomplished when law enforcement agencies come together with a shared purpose,” Chief Evans said. “Our mission is not only to enforce the law, but to stand beside our community, protect our families, and ensure that every citizen feels safe in their home and their city.”

The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
