Blackshear Business Owner Arrested on Multiple Fraud Charges

BLACKSHEAR, Ga. — A Blackshear business owner has been arrested following an investigation into alleged fraudulent business activities, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Amanda “Amy” Gambrell, 51, of Blackshear, was charged with seven counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud, four counts of Theft by Taking, one count of Forgery in the First Degree, one count of Deposit Account Fraud, and one count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft.

The investigation began on March 11, 2026, when the Blackshear Police Department requested the GBI to look into complaints involving Gambrell, who owns Ace Handyman Services.

Authorities allege Gambrell was involved in fraudulent financial activities related to her business.

Gambrell was taken into custody and booked into the Pierce County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
