Chattanooga Police Use Drones, K9 to Track Down Suspects After Shots Fired

CHATTANOOGA, Georgia – Two suspects were arrested Saturday night after gunfire was reported near Chattanooga’s riverfront, damaging vehicles but leaving no one injured.

Officers responded around 9:21 p.m. on March 21, 2026, to reports of shots fired in the 150 River Street area after multiple people were seen running from the scene.

With assistance from witnesses and residents, along with technology from the Chattanooga Police Department’s Real Time Intelligence Center and Drone Unit, officers quickly identified and tracked the suspects.

One suspect was detained shortly after officers arrived, while the second fled into a nearby neighborhood. Police established a perimeter and, with help from community members, located the second suspect hiding in a backyard.

During the investigation, officers and K9 Sully recovered firearms and found shell casings at the scene. Authorities said several vehicles were struck by gunfire.

The suspects, identified as 18-year-olds Demarion Langston and London Porter, were taken into custody and transported to jail.

Both are charged with possession of a stolen firearm, felony reckless endangerment, threats of mass violence, and disorderly conduct.

No injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
