Domestic Disturbance Call Leads to Major Drug Trafficking Arrest in South Macon

MACON, Ga. – A domestic disturbance call in south Macon resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker after deputies discovered large quantities of narcotics and firearms inside a residence, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy John Kile with the Patrol Division responded to a call for help off Allen Road after neighbors reported hearing a woman screaming inside the home. During the initial investigation, deputies observed suspected drugs in plain view, prompting Criminal Investigation Division investigators to obtain a search warrant for the property.

Execution of the warrant led to the seizure of more than 18 pounds of marijuana, more than 1.5 pounds of dried mushrooms believed to contain psilocybin or psilocin, 42 prepackaged gummies containing suspected psilocybin or psilocin, and more than 1,000 pills identified as Xanax. Investigators also recovered a large amount of U.S. currency and four firearms, including one equipped with a machine gun conversion device.

A male suspect was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault and drug trafficking.

The female involved in the disturbance was transported to a local hospital for treatment before being taken into custody upon release on an outstanding warrant from a neighboring county.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
