Teen Critically Injured in Saturday Night Shooting in Cordele

CORDELE, Ga. — A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot Saturday night in Cordele, according to police.

Just after 8:00 p.m. on February 14, 2026, officers with the Cordele Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of West 11th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a juvenile male suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Firefighters with the Cordele Fire Department and Crisp County EMS provided medical assistance before transporting the teen to Crisp Regional Hospital. He was later transferred to another area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The Cordele Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded to process the scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Authorities said no additional information will be released at this time as the case remains active.
