Kingsland Man Sentenced to Life in Prison For Stabbing Wife to Death
KINGSLAND, Georgia – The City of Kingsland Police Department announced that 76-year-old Eugene E. Desrosiers has pleaded guilty and been sentenced in connection with a deadly domestic violence case that claimed the life of his wife.
On January 28, 2026, Desrosiers entered a guilty plea in Camden County Superior Court to Felony Murder and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony. As part of the plea agreement, the court sentenced him to life in prison with the possibility of parole, followed by a consecutive five-year sentence. All remaining charges were dismissed by the court.
The charges stem from a March 2024 domestic altercation in which Desrosiers fatally stabbed Theresa Ann Desrosiers. Theresa was a former US Marine Corps Sgt. and a Vietnam veteran.
The incident was investigated by the Kingsland Police Department, with prosecution handled by the Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
“This plea ensures accountability and brings a measure of justice in a case involving a senseless and tragic loss of life,” said Kingsland Police Chief Rick Evans. He also commended Investigator James Flowers III for his work on the case, along with the officers and staff who assisted throughout the investigation, noting their professionalism and attention to detail.
The Kingsland Police Department thanked the District Attorney’s Office for its continued partnership and commitment to justice. Officials also encouraged anyone experiencing domestic violence or in need of assistance to contact local law enforcement or victim advocacy resources.
