Marietta Police Needs Help Identifying Armed Robbery Suspect in Subway Heist

MARIETTA, GA – The Marietta Police Department is turning to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred just before the New Year.

The incident took place on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at approximately 8:15 p.m. at the Subway restaurant located at 1871 Cobb Parkway South.

The Incident

According to investigators, a man entered the restaurant armed with a handgun and immediately confronted the staff. He held employees at gunpoint, threatening to open fire unless they surrendered all the cash from the registers.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Fortunately, no employees were physically injured during the encounter.

Suspect Description

Detectives have released a description based on surveillance footage. Due to the suspect’s extensive clothing and face coverings, identification has proven difficult:

  • Gender: Male
  • Top: Blue and white hooded sweatshirt
  • Bottoms: Grey sweatpants
  • Footwear: Black “slide-type” sandals
  • Head/Face: Black ski mask and sunglasses
