Gwinnett County Police Respond to Deadly Shooting in Snellville Neighborhood
SNELLVILLE, Ga. – Gwinnett County Police are investigating a deadly shooting after officers found a man dead early Sunday morning in an unincorporated Snellville neighborhood.
Officers from the South Precinct responded to a “person down” call around 3:10 a.m. in the 3800 block of Saddle Ridge Drive. When officers arrived, they located an adult male who had died from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and are actively interviewing witnesses. The Gwinnett County Police Crime Scene Unit is also processing the area and collecting evidence.
Investigators say the incident appears to be isolated and there is no immediate threat to the public. The victim’s identity has not been released and will be made public after next-of-kin notifications are completed.
