Bainbridge Man Arrested on Multiple Child Sex Crime Charges

Bainbridge, Georgia – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested 42-year-old David Clayton Kelly of Bainbridge on multiple child sex crime charges, including two counts of Child Molestation, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, and Aggravated Sexual Battery.

The Bainbridge Public Safety Department requested GBI assistance on October 28, 2025, after receiving a report involving a teenage victim. Investigators say the alleged offenses happened between March 2024 and October 2025 in Decatur County, and that Kelly was acquainted with the victim.

With help from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Kelly was arrested on October 29, 2025, and booked into the Decatur County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing. Once complete, the case will be turned over to the South Georgia Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review and prosecution.
