Whitfield County Deputies Arrest Woman Covered in Blood After Deadly Stabbing

Dalton, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating the death of Michael Cronin, 59, of Dalton, following a fatal stabbing that occurred late Wednesday night.
Around 11:00 p.m. on October 1, 2025, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a woman covered in blood at the Dollar General on Beaverdale Road. Deputies arrived and identified the woman as Requiya Kierra Reynolds, 33, of Memphis, Tennessee. Reynolds told first responders she had stabbed a man at a nearby home.
Deputies went to the residence on the 2000 block of Dawnville Beaverdale Road, where they found Cronin deceased in the living room with apparent stab wounds.
Reynolds was taken into custody and charged with Murder. She is currently being held without bond at the Whitfield County Jail.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
