Man in Custody After Stabbing Three People in Clarkesville

CLARKESVILLE, Ga.—A man is in custody after allegedly stabbing three people during a fight on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly before 1 p.m. on August 31, Habersham County E-911 dispatchers received a call reporting a fight on Canterberry Trail. The call was updated to report that multiple people had been stabbed and that a male suspect was barricaded inside a camper.

A Habersham County deputy arrived on the scene and found three victims with stab wounds. One of the victims was critically injured, while the other two also sustained injuries. All three were transported by ambulance for treatment.

The male suspect was arrested by Habersham County deputies and taken to the Habersham County Detention Center.

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating the incident and stated that no further details about the circumstances or those involved can be released at this time. The Sheriff’s Office thanked several other local and state agencies for their assistance on the scene.
