13-Year-Old Arrested After Series of Vehicle Thefts in Glynn County Subdivision

Glynn County Police have arrested a 13-year-old juvenile in connection with a string of entering auto thefts that occurred in the Somersby Pointe subdivision in June 2025.

Officers initially responded to multiple reports of thefts from vehicles, including the reported theft of a firearm. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division reviewed residential security camera footage and identified the juvenile as the suspect.

A search of the suspect’s bedroom resulted in the recovery of two firearms and other stolen property. One of the firearms had been reported stolen in a separate county in Georgia.

The juvenile was interviewed on July 15th at the Glynn County Police Department Headquarters and taken into custody. He has been charged with two counts of Theft Entering an Automobile and two counts of Possession of a Handgun by a Person Under the Age of 18. He is currently being held at a youth detention center.
